To stabilize the original structure while the second floor slab and rear wall are removed, diagonal bracing to support the remaining walls and roof will be installed.  Here are the footings being drilled and poured to support the bracing.

Additional shoring is installed at the rear edge of the original building to support the roof.

The process of carefully dismantling the rear wall to salvage the bricks so they can be used for repairs and restoration on the remaining portions of the building.
