Master Plans to be Prepared for Memorial and Bethesda Parks

In October, 2004, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville initiated a planning process that will result in master plans being prepared for Memorial and Bethesda Parks.

This web site has been developed to support the preparation of these plans by providing current information about the project, progress and results. This year-long initiative will result in a comprehensive plan to guide the development of Bethesda Park and the redevelopment of Memorial Park.

Three significant things have prompted the need to re-design Memorial Park and associated lands:

  1. The extension of Park Drive through the park,
  2. The removal of the Region of York water pollution control plant, and
  3. New lands added to Memorial Park in the vicinity of the Lebovic Leisure Centre.

This web site is intended to keep you informed about upcoming activities and project results. Keep an eye on the News to the left for upcoming events and project results.
