• The By-laws pertaining to Council’s salary are included in the Appendix.   

• As the Mayor is the Town’s representative at the Region, the Mayor also collects a salary from the Region.  As a result, the Mayor’s salary is comprised of a portion paid by the Town and a portion paid by the Region. 

• Effective January 1, 2010, the actual salaries are as follows: 

      Mayor:

• Town’s portion of Mayor’s salary - $40,921.00, plus
• Region’s portion of Mayor’s salary (currently only 2009 salary information available -$47,142.25), plus
• Car allowance - $7,390.00.

     
      Ward Councillor:

• Councillor’s salary - $26,922.00, plus
• Car allowance - $2639.00.
