The Development Services Department administers the planning and development functions of the municipality.  This responsibility is carried out in accordance with the Planning Act, its associated regulations and various provincial policy statement, the Town’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law.  The department also undertakes design and contract administration for Town capital works projects and for administering the provisions of the Ontario Building Code Act with respect to building and structures.  The department is comprised of three divisions: Planning, Building and Engineering.
