Friday, March 7 March Break Kick Off
9:00 am – 4:00 pm Not sure what to do with the kids on the Friday before March Break? Children aged 8-12 will participate in hands-on crafts, heritage cooking and traditional games appropriate for the season. The cost is $40.00 per child (Members’ rate $32.00) – includes all materials and snacks. Pre-registration is required and participants must bring their own nut-free lunch.
Sunday, April 13 Pancake Brunch
11:00 am - 2:00 pm Celebrate the end of winter at this delicious event hosted by the Friends of the Museum. Enjoy a pancake and ham brunch, topped off with locally produced maple syrup before touring the Museum’s restored heritage buildings. Cost: $6.00 for adults, $2.00 for children.
Saturday, April 19 REACH Day
10:00 am – 4:00 pm What was Ontario like during the 1800s? Brownies and Guides will participate in a series of unique hands-on activities that will provide them with the opportunity to Really Experience Authentic Cultural Heritage! Activities will take place in the Museum’s historic buildings and can be used to meet various badge requirements. Each troop will participate in a program that will run for a minimum of 1½ hours. Admission: $4.00 per participant. Please call for a start time for your group or for more information.

AND EXHIBIT OPENS – Fast Forward: Through a Child’s Eyes
Children growing up in the 1800s would have had a very different childhood experience from young people today. This exhibit will help us to understand these “miniature adults” and the influences that helped shape their lives. Details will be revealed through the eyes of our narrator Annie as she describes her family & home life, school, community, social activities and quiet times, things that might worry her, & what she envisions for her future. On display until September 12th.

11:00 am - 4:00 pm Join us as Exhibitors from across southern Ontario display their prized antique & classic cars. Food available in the Tea Room or hot off the BBQ. Historic buildings open with heritage demonstrations, children’s activities and live entertainment. Rain date: August 17th. Admission: $5.00 (children under 7 free); $12.00 per family of up to 4.

Saturday, December 13 A Candlelight Christmas
6:30 or 8:00 pm Join our costumed staff on this enchanting evening tour! Explore the development of Christmas traditions while sampling 19th-century foods, entertainment and decorations in our Pioneer Log Cabin and Victorian Farmhouse. Enjoy a horse-drawn hay ride and then warm up with hot apple cider, traditional baking and Christmas carols. Book early as there is limited space for this event and last year’s tours sold out!!
