1)         Residents are reminded that in order to facilitate the process of snow removal, no person shall park any vehicle on any road between the hours of 2:00 am to 6:00 am from December 1st to March 31st of each year as stated in By-law 2008-114-PR.  During the day, to assist with the Town’s plowing operations, we ask that vehicles not be parked on the street until they have been cleared.

2)         Not to push snow from driveways on to the travel portion of the road.

3)         Please place green bins, blue boxes and garbage bags/containers in driveways rather than on snow banks or on the road.

4)         When driving, stay well back of snow plows as they are, on occasion, required to back-up during plowing operations.

5)         Residents are requested not to allow children to play on snow piles located on or at the side of the roads. Snow plow operators may not see children playing in the snow.

6)         Do not park vehicles over sidewalks or in a manner that the vehicle protrudes onto the roadway. This is a hazard for residents and hinders plowing operations. 

MUNICIPAL ENCROACHMENTS

The Public Works Department reminds residents that the Town is not responsible for any damage caused during our winter maintenance operations to items such as gardens, fences, posts, interlocking brick work, concrete and wood curbs that have been placed on Town property.

Removal of these items would aid with the road and sidewalk plowing operations and prevent damage to these property improvements.

The Town, at its discretion, may request the removal of these obstructions.
